German and other citizens are visa-free for a stay up to 90 days as tourists and business travelers, but must fill out an Arrival Card online before entering the country.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL VISA CATEGORIES

  • visa application form
    fill in online via https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw

  • passport
    in original, at least valid for 6 months after journey

  • two passport pictures
    in original, biometric, photo requirements

  • proof of entry and exit
    e.g. flight reservation

    non-German applicants
  • current residence registration (Meldebescheinigung) (if EU citizen) or
  • valid residence permit for Germany (if not EU citizen)


    FOR TOURIST VISA

    • hotel confirmation

    • financial statement
      e.g. payslip or account statement

    FOR BUSINESS VISA

    additional to minimum requirements above

    • letter of invitation 
      from Company in Taiwan

    • company letter 
      from employer in Germany (sample)
