History
The business idea of exclusively offering visa and consular services was conceived by Frank J. Königk in the mid-1980s in Hamburg.
As a member of the Board of the Lycée Francais de Hambourg, he had excellent connections with the Corps Consulaire (CC) of the Hanseatic city, which at the time had the highest number of consulates worldwide.
During the 1990s, he commuted weekly between Hamburg and Bonn and was also well-connected with the Corps Diplomatique (CD) there.
Large travel agency chains became the first customers, followed swiftly by renowned companies from various industries (mail-order companies, banks, publishers, automobile manufacturers, and others) as well as countless individual travelers.
Reports about SERVISUM on television, radio, and in print media helped the company gain recognition beyond the travel industry (Pressemitteilungen).
The opening of SERVISUM offices in the former federal capital Bonn (1990–2005), the current capital Berlin (1994), the banking metropolis Frankfurt with its intercontinental airport (2004), and Munich (2012–2021) underscores SERVISUM's pioneering and leading role.
