German and other citizens can apply for an E-Visa for a stay of up to 16 days.
The visa can be applied for at the earliest 40 and at the latest 4 days before entry, within 60 days from the date of issuance of the visa can then be entered for 16 days.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL VISA CATEGORIES

The Russian Missions attaches increasing importance to the exact completion of visa applications. (E.g. If the private address is given, a telephone number must be included, although this is not a mandatory field). - passport

The confirmation must contain the following points: Amount of cover (min. 30.000 €), list of medical services, validity for Russia, validity for the travel period (sample)
non-German applicants - current residence registration (Meldebescheinigung) and NEW: proof of permanet residence (green card) (if EU citizen) or
- valid residence permit for Germany (if not EU citizen)
FOR TOURIST VISA
additional to minimum requirements above
- Visa Support Letter and Voucher
from hotel or travel operator - proof of social connection to Germany
e.g. payslip, bank statement, school certificate, matriculation, or similar
if private visa: - copy of marriage certificate
FOR BUSINESS VISA
additional to minimum requirements above
- company letter
from employer in Germany
with salary details, cost assumption, position in company etc. (sample) - letter of invitation
from company in Russia
If it is a ministerial invitation (brownish, in DIN A5 format) the original invitation is always required. Please note: an invitation from the Russian Migration Service (FMS) is required for technical services and this purpose of travel is not covered by a "normal" business visa

An annual visa can also be approved with a company invitation, if the traveler can prove at least one business visa (with entry and exit stamps) within the last 365 days and the invitation is then available in original and in Russian language.
