Visa Applications / Entry Requirements: Vietnam

Germans and other citizens are visa-free for a stay of up to 45 days (if the passport is valid for at least 6 months. A minimum period between the visa-free entry and the last departure is not required).

German citizens and other nationalities are also entitled to apply for a so-called eVisa (electronic visa) online. It is not possible to apply with a temporary passport.

Entry with an eVisa is only possible at certain border crossings/entry points. You can find more information on this under “eVisa”.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL REGULAR VISA CATEGORIES

• Non-German applicants:
  current registration certificate (if EU citizen) or copy of residence permit for Germany (if not an EU citizen)

CRUISES: All passengers requiring a visa will receive a visa on board the ship. The price for this is currently around 28 USD. Please contact the ship's operator for more information.

Citizens from Bahrain, India, Israel, Lebanon, North Korea, Panama, Sri Lanka and Turkey are requested to obtain a regular visa for Vietnam prior to the cruise.
